ORR Safety Introduces XP MAX Protective Workwear

ORR Safety has introduced a completely new line of protective clothing that delivers one garment to protect against many extreme hazards including high temperatures, chemical splash, and hot ash. It's called XP MAX. This extraordinary work wear was the result of a three-way collaboration between safety leaders in the Pulp & Paper industry, ORR Safety's in-house specialists, and suppliers who were able to push the boundaries of what materials can do.

A single XP MAX jacket, overalls or coveralls can replace two or three different types of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that workers would otherwise need to juggle throughout the day to defend themselves from a variety of harsh environments.

Testing in Pulp and Paper plants demonstrated that XP MAX could effectively protect workers from heat, white liquor, green liquor, black liquor, hot ash and sulfuric acid. It's lightweight design improved agility and efficiency, reduced fatigue and enhanced productivity.

ORR Safety Named ANSUL Diamond Alliance Partner

ORR Safety Corporation of Louisville, Kentucky has received the honor of being named an ANSUL Double Diamond Alliance Partner. This level of distinction is a testament to the hard work put forth by the organization over the past year.

The Diamond Alliance partnership is based on achieving measurable goals established by Tyco Fire Protection Products. At this time, less than 20% of ANUSUL distributors have Diamond Alliance Partner distinction. Companies that achieve Diamond Alliance status must earn that partnership each year through sales performance.

ORR Safety Corporation Enters Into a Definitive Agreement to Purchase Assets of Miller Safety and First Aid Products

ORR Safety Corporation of Louisville, KY., a wholly-owned subsidiary of ORR Corporation, has purchased certain assets of Miller Safety and First Aid Products, based just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Miller Safety distributes products for Industrial Safety and Occupational Health.

The Miller Safety transaction increases ORR’s presence in the Northeast marketplace.  Miller Safety services the Pennsylvania and Ohio markets, as well as many national companies.
